Château de Chanzé is the absolute venue for reunions with family and friends, celebrations and intimate weddings in the French countryside.
The idyllic Château de Chanzé is a family owned, authentic 11th Century medieval castle bordering the River Layon in north-west France.
With spacious grounds and a large, central swimming pool the rural Château comfortably sleeps 10-15 guests. An extra 25 guests can be accommodated in the apartments and studio rooms on the same private property for an incremental cost.
Events for up to 40 guests can be hosted in the Great Hall or Courtyard of the Château.
The property is exclusively yours for the rental period.
Château de Chanzé is a self-catering Castle. It is possible for catering to be supplied or the option to self-cater is available among the fully equipped Château and 4 apartment kitchens including 2 barbecues. Relax poolside, dine al fresco in the Château courtyard at sunset while enjoying the local wines or explore the many Châteaux, history and abundance of the Loire Valley.
Located just 30 minutes from the city and train station of Angers Château de Chanzé can be accessed within 1.5hrs from Paris by train, 1.5hrs drive from Nantes International Airport and 3 hours from Brittany ferry ports. Directly opposite the Château walking and cycle trail takes you to the local village and beyond.
The Château is available for a minimum of three nights (excluding July and August*) and is rented in its entirety

Each apartment or studio enjoys a castle aspect.
The apartments contain a kitchen furnished with a dishwasher, stove top elements, toaster, oven, cooking equipment, utensils, crockery, cutlery and glassware.
An outdoor area is attached to each apartment while all guests have access to Free WiFi by the pool, a barbecue and the salt water pool.
The studios all have bedrooms with a small living area and bathrooms with showers.
Apartments and Studios
The farm buildings which formerly served the Château have been completely and lovingly restored into apartments and studios (with or without kitchens respectively) while retaining the original rustic character.
With room for up to 25 guests the four apartments and four studios are convenient and comfortable with upstairs bedrooms and downstairs living areas.
